The Villa Gresti by Tenuta San Leonardo is a great wine from Trentino that combines the charisma and strength of Merlot with the power of Carmenere. A refined assembly that comes from the oldest vines, rich of history, of Tenuta San Leonardo.
It’s a perfect combination of tradition and history, dynamism stubborn and modern. We are in Borghetto Avio, in the locality of San Leonardo and the vineyards are situated 150 meters above sea level, on a soil rich in sand, low fertility and well drained, on vines that are between 10 and 20 years of age.
Spontaneous 15/18 day fermentation in small concrete vats with periodic pumpovers and délestage. 12 months in new French oak barrels.
