This vineyard later became known as the K1 by Geoff Hardy vineyardsince this unique site was the first commercial planting of vines in theKuitpo region.
Story 5 clones of Pinot Noir are grown on the K1 vineyard, these areprocessed separately then stored in oak. As the season affects each
clone differently, keeping them separte allows only the best barrels tobe selected for this wine.
